SELECTION

Selection of Best
Marble Stones

Our team of experts continually researches and identifies the best marbles from quarries across the world, including Italy, Turkey, Brazil and many other countries. At our factory, selected blocks are carefully weighed and stacked to ensure they remain in good shape throughout the process.

IMPORT

International
Standards

Sipani imports marble into India according to international standards. Blocks are transported in containers with complete safety, with detailed inspection carried out before shipment.

REINFORCEMENT

Block Strengthening

Every block is inspected before entering the Block Dressing Machine. Special fibre is applied using epoxy resin and hardener, forming a strong reinforcing layer that is dried for two days. The reinforcement provides additional strength and helps reduce edge chipping and wastage during sawing.

CUTTING

Block Sawing
with Gang-saw

Blocks are cut using high-quality Gang-saw machines equipped with hydraulic tensioner blades to achieve uniform cutting. Depending on the rock type, a block generally takes around 8 to 10 hours to become slabs of predefined thickness.

AUTOMATION

Robotic Handling
of Slabs

Loading and unloading of marble slabs is carried out using robotic slab machines equipped with robotic vacuum cups. This reduces manual effort, saves time and minimises the possibility of accidents or injuries caused by manual handling.

BOOK MATCHING

Book Matching
of Slabs

After sawing, slabs are aligned into carefully coordinated patterns where adjoining surfaces mirror each other, creating the distinctive appearance of an opened book. Wherever required, automated machinery rotates the slabs to achieve the desired book matching.

PREPARATION

Slab Drying
& Pre-heating

Before further processing, slabs are completely dried using high-pressure hot air. Each slab passes through hot compressed air inside a closed chamber before undergoing approximately two hours of pre-heating. This opens the pores and prepares the stone for proper epoxy filling.

MESHING

Mesh Attachment
for Stiffness

Imported fibre mesh is fixed to the backside of each marble slab using superior-quality epoxy resin. This provides additional strength and stiffness, followed by controlled resin curing and drying through the automatic resin line.

EPOXY

Double-sided
Epoxy Coating

Once the backside has been strengthened, the slab is rotated using an automated slab turning machine. Epoxy coating is then applied to the front side, providing additional reinforcement to the slab.

VACUUM

Vacuum Processing

The entire slab passes through a vacuum chamber where air is removed. This allows epoxy to penetrate the minute pores, cracks and crevices throughout the slab, helping seal them permanently.

GRINDING

8-head Grinding
Machine

An eight-headed computerized and synchronized machine removes undulations from the slab surface. Each head operates at different pressures and automatically adjusts to ensure the entire slab remains even and consistent.

FINISHING

Final Polishing

The re-strengthened slabs are finally polished using a high-tech automated slab polishing line to achieve the desired glossy finish.

COMPLETION

Stacking of Finished
Marble Slabs

Finished marble slabs are stacked into designated frames using cranes and automated machinery. Automated stacking allows the slabs to be positioned safely, reducing the possibility of damage while also saving time.
